Sometimes you get to drive turbocharged things.

I’ve always wondered how those compare to lesser Jettas... I think they look way nicer in person but the specs don’t seem that impressive. What are your first impressions??

My Dad lent out his truck a couple of months ago, he got this in return:
R/T, fully loaded, basically straight piped.

That’s what my niece just got for her 16th birthday, in white.

We are the ones who loan out our car to borrow people’s trucks. Last time we borrowed this fully loaded Colorado. I think the owner of the colorado still got the better end of that deal, but its’ a nice little truck.

My Dakota feels so much different that these new “Midsize” trucks. I drove a 4cyl canyon and it just felt like a car. A nice car, but it didn’t feel like a truck.

Lucky girl. White would be better here in Florida. Black on black makes me want to die

Yes she is. I do have to say, I must put off an air of “don’t ask me for my truck”. I think my brother in law has borrowed it once. Then again my current truck is a DoubleCab shortbed Tacoma. Useful for me, at least.

Its quick, but not fast. Very smooth. It’s a very nice car and would make a great DD for highway use. Not very fuel efficient in the city. Getting 14 mpg right now. I don’t know what it is about these VW’s and to a lesser extent the Audi’s, but they just lack character.

14! I do better than that in the S3.

I’ve been known to freely give of my Dakota as long as we swap cars. Although not many people can drive mine because it’s stick!

Interesting. Yeah, that seems about right (except for the fuel economy because my old ass Pathfinder did better than that). I still think they look a thousand times better than a base Jetta. Gotta be the grille and LED taillights.

they get nicer interior bits too. I’d be hard pressed to buy a small Audi over one of these.

I do agree this looks good. The interior has nicer stuff too like a GTi flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Totally agree. Maybe it’s just that VAG sells enough of this with Audi, but I wonder why there isn’t a “Jetta R” or something with ~300hp and premium hardware. I think they could sell that in a heartbeat, it'd just compete with their other brand.

Then you’d better hope the car you get lent has two
